DIY Candle Holder

Hello Everyone! It's been a while but I finally have something to show you all! I recently bought a candle from the dollar store just to spice up my room a bit. It's ombré blue and called 'African rain'. It looks gorgeous in my room, yet I realised that it has nothing to hold it, resulting in blue wax all over my bedside table. Hence, I decided to create a cute little place holder to catch the wax and decided to share the process with you.

You will need paper, scissors, a small canvas, a hole punch, any colour paint (I used blue to match the candle), glitter (or sparkly nail polish, as I used), sticky tape and a small paint brush.

First step is to cut the paper to the size of your canvas
Then, randomly punch holes all around the paper, evenly spread.
Tightly tape the paper onto the canvas
Now get out your paint and using the paint brush, paint it over the holes.
Now you need to apply the glitter. Since I used nail polish I just used the nail polish brush to paint it over the holes, on top of the blue paint.
And the painting is done! Peel back the paper.
The end product turned out really cute and reflected the name 'African Rain'. Last step is to place it under your candle, and voila!

Hope you enjoyed my first DIY post,
Ayla x

OOTD for shopping

Hello lovelies!
Today I went shopping with my friend for a few hours at the markets and a cute little street with tons of gorgeous shops! I decided to show you what I wore. It was pretty hot despite the fact it's nearly winter, so I wore some casual light clothes.

I love this outfit! It's so casual and light and perfect for a sunny day.

Top and Shorts // Cotton On
Headband // Metalicus
Converse shoes // surf shop
Necklace an bracelet // Thomas Sabo

I'm obsessed with my Thomas Sabo charms. There are the charms I was wearing!
Sorry about the terrible quality!
Hope you enjoyed that post, I had such a nice day and bought so many cute things .

What's in my pencil case

Hello everyone! I'm Ayla, and welcome to Honeycomb blog! ☻ My blog may look a bit ugly, as I am still working on the design. Today I am going to show you what is in my pencil case. Everything in my pencil case was purchased from either Typo, Kiki K, smiggle or office works x

So this is my pencil case I have been using this school term. It is one of the precious pet cases from Typo and I love it a lot! I barely need to carry anything and I hate carrying around big pencil cases so this one is perfect for me.

These are my favourite items in my pencil case! They are numbered from the top down.

1// My typo arrow keys rubber! I've had it for a very long time and it works very well, and does not smudge.

2// My bear bookmark. It is a small magnet bookmark that is so handy as I can carry it around everywhere and does a great job at keeping my pages. I got it from Kiki K.

3// My Kiki K two pen set! It came in a box with the bear bookmark and a few other cool things!  They are plain black. I use them for school notes.

4// I've had this one for ages too. It is from smiggle and has 3 different pens in them. Red, black and a pacer. It's very handy for school notes.

5// Everyone needs a pink pen. My pink pen is a paper mate one and I bought it from office works. I use it for marking most of the time.

These are just basic essentials, the uglier things in my pencil case. They are numbered starting from the top, left to right. Everything is from office works.

1&2// 2 stabilo thin highlighters. I love them because they don't completely blank out words and had a thin tip so I don't highlight to many things by accident.

3// art line pen! Perfect for class doodles and art.

4// A mini glue stick! Not to big and fits perfectly into my pencil case.

5// A small ruler. I have lost so many big rulers in my time as they don't fit in my pencil case so I have to carry them separately. This mini one does the job and I haven't lost it!

6// Whiteout because I absolutely love it and use it all the time!

That wraps up what I keep in my pencil case! I'm really happy with it at the moment and am glad I could share it with you.
