DIY Candle Holder

Hello Everyone! It's been a while but I finally have something to show you all! I recently bought a candle from the dollar store just to spice up my room a bit. It's ombré blue and called 'African rain'. It looks gorgeous in my room, yet I realised that it has nothing to hold it, resulting in blue wax all over my bedside table. Hence, I decided to create a cute little place holder to catch the wax and decided to share the process with you.

You will need paper, scissors, a small canvas, a hole punch, any colour paint (I used blue to match the candle), glitter (or sparkly nail polish, as I used), sticky tape and a small paint brush.

First step is to cut the paper to the size of your canvas
Then, randomly punch holes all around the paper, evenly spread.
Tightly tape the paper onto the canvas
Now get out your paint and using the paint brush, paint it over the holes.
Now you need to apply the glitter. Since I used nail polish I just used the nail polish brush to paint it over the holes, on top of the blue paint.
And the painting is done! Peel back the paper.
The end product turned out really cute and reflected the name 'African Rain'. Last step is to place it under your candle, and voila!

Hope you enjoyed my first DIY post,
Ayla x
